Common Questions
Here are answers to some of the questions people often have about working with me. If you don’t see your question here, feel free to reach out.
Your first session is an opportunity for us to get to know one another and talk about what brings you to therapy. We’ll discuss what you’ve been experiencing, what you hope to gain from therapy, and any questions you have about the process. There’s no pressure to have everything figured out before you begin.
Yes. I offer telehealth therapy for clients located in California. Virtual sessions provide the flexibility to meet from a private, comfortable location while receiving the same thoughtful, collaborative support.
Session length can vary depending on the type of therapy and your needs. We can discuss the appropriate session length and frequency during your consultation or first appointment.
Insurance and payment options can vary. Please contact me to discuss current fees, insurance questions, and any options that may be available to you before scheduling.
Many clients begin with regular sessions to create consistency and momentum, but there isn’t a one-size-fits-all schedule. We’ll discuss a frequency that makes sense for your goals, circumstances, and the type of therapy we’re doing together.
You don’t need to be in crisis to benefit from therapy. People seek therapy for many reasons—from navigating anxiety, stress, relationship challenges, or major life changes to gaining greater self-understanding and creating meaningful personal growth. A consultation can be a good opportunity to ask questions and determine whether working together feels like a good fit.
Start by requesting a consultation through the contact form. This gives us an opportunity to connect, discuss what you’re looking for, and determine whether working together is a good fit. From there, we can discuss the appropriate next steps.
